Guidelines for Game Play.
- Are You Ready for Some Football is a weekly guessing game, where you pick the winning teams for points.
- If you are interested in playing, please send an email to ruready4somefootball.jw@gmail.com with your email contact information and the name you would like to use during the competition. It may be your own name or if you have privacy issues you may use a nickname.
- You must enter to play by August 30th, this will give applicable time to set you up for the season.
- Weekly picks should be submitted on Wednesday by 11:30pm Eastern Standard Time. Entries received after this time will automatically have 1 point deducted for the corresponding week.
- The picking window will close on Thursday by 11:30am Eastern Standard Time. No picks will be submitted after this time.
- If you miss a week you will be given a total that is 1 point lower than the lowest score for the week. For example if those who submitted their picks received 15, 13, 9, and 7 points you will receive 6 points for the week (1 point lower than the lowest score).
- All weekly picks should be submitted to ruready4somefootball.jw@gmail.com using the template that you will receive once you have entered the competition. If you do not have excel you can send your picks in a list format.
- Weekly scores and updates will be submitted to this blog by Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning the lastest. If you are playing, I suggest you subscribe to this blog so that you will receive updates directly to your email account.
- Weekly Picks will be updated to this blog Thursday mornings for all to see.
- Sick Picks: are picks for a team that less than 20% of the group picks to win, they will be highlighted in green and are worth double the points. So if there are 15 players and only three people or less pick a certain team to win it will qualify as a Sick Pick.
- This game is about bragging rights only and not considered gambling or betting. No prize will be rewarded at the end of the season.
